Upgrading my 3906 part 3

New video and in need of parts
E-Maxx 3906 Freestyle

New body and 2″ extended WB to match

Right so I just drove my 3906 after finishing all the bit’s n’ pieces
And I can honestly say that I REEALYY like it now …No wheely action ….Well almost

What did I change this time ??
well obviously the chassis rails … and fixed the topshaft (thanks Fred)
New rear drive shafts and a longer centre shaft

But on closer inspection I found a cracked Right Rear bulkhead
and a trashed diff cup

I had the bulkhead ..bin hiding in my parts box sins 2002 but the diff was worse ….A mate to the rescue
He had a spare Revo diff complete with housing and I had a 3905 diff housing

And after a few hours of tinkering I had my trusty E-Maxx bashing around again

Only thing left to do is paint the body and go play in the dirt :D

I have a mostly stock 3906 with an EVX Esc. Its been sitting for a couple of years but I want to use it again. I was thinking of buying a Titan 775. What is the minumum amount of mods I need to do to use this single motor? thanks.

can I use 8.4v batteries with the EVX 3014?

The first thing would be to install the steel idler gears from the 3905

Well more or less what I did in part 1 and 2

The old 3014 EVX can’t handle more than 14,4v
so if you can find an EVX-2 that normally powers the 775 in the Summit
It can handle 16,8v or 2×8,4v
