I’m working on an unlimited buggy like the ones in LOORS and TORC
build with Traxxas parts instead of just buying a Losi XXX-SCB

I’m calling it the Traxxas SRB after the Vintage SRT I’m using for parts
which is the predecessor for the Bandit and Rustler and later the Slash
Have a look at the prototype chassis
It’s made of alloy but the finished chassis will be 3mm G-10 fibreglass with 5mm G-10 front and 3mm rear shock towers

And a custom Rollcage

I modelled my cage after the Losi SCB and I did think about getting one, but it looks too narrow
My cage will be around 4″ wide

The fibreglass sheets are ready to be cut out

Chassis and tower cut out, only need a bit of sanding

The chassis plates and towers are done

but there’s still a few things left before I can drive it

It’s a roller

Won’t be long before its done
Only thing I can’t decide on, Black nylon or steel tube

Upgrading my 3906 part 3

New video and in need of parts
E-Maxx 3906 Freestyle

New body and 2″ extended WB to match

Right so I just drove my 3906 after finishing all the bit’s n’ pieces
And I can honestly say that I REEALYY like it now …No wheely action ….Well almost

What did I change this time ??
well obviously the chassis rails … and fixed the topshaft (thanks Fred)
New rear drive shafts and a longer centre shaft

But on closer inspection I found a cracked Right Rear bulkhead
and a trashed diff cup

I had the bulkhead ..bin hiding in my parts box sins 2002 but the diff was worse ….A mate to the rescue
He had a spare Revo diff complete with housing and I had a 3905 diff housing

And after a few hours of tinkering I had my trusty E-Maxx bashing around again

Only thing left to do is paint the body and go play in the dirt :D

Hyper 7 Short Course

I have always liked Short Course racing like CORR and now LOORRS and TORC
but none of the R/C SC have a solid rear axle
Other than the Thunder Tech Racing cars so I want to build my own PRO-4

Hyper SC7
Hyper SC,SnoopMaxx,Solid Rear axle,Short Course

First I need to find a brushless motor and ESC

I have tested my hyper with a VXL-3s and a 3500kv BL motor

I will use a Twin Force axle with straight adaptors and 4 link suspension

Next I will start on the chassis
